Chess Roundup: March 29, 2026

Our knowledge and experience are built from countless pieces of input that we absorb throughout life, some involuntarily, some by choice. And while not everything is in our control, we can usually decide what we put into our minds and what we repeat until it sticks.

This week, we launched a much-requested new feature that gives you more control over how you build your chess knowledge and shape your training, by allowing you to build your own courses based on what you want to learn. Check out the details below:

The opening of the Repertory is finally here 🤩

Repertory Opening is a feature free for all which allows you to add MoveTrainer variations, or even entire chapters, to your custom courses.

You can add comments, change gestures, insert visuals, and more. This allows you to build a truly personal repertoire and shape your training according to your goals and how you learn best.

➡️ Learn more about how to use this feature on our blog!

The cool thing is that this isn’t limited to just openings. You can also create your own courses around specific chess concepts you want to focus on.

And if you need some inspiration on what to add to your repertoire, check out our best new releases below:

Much has been said about the Russian Chess School. But what exactly is it? And why do they produce so many great players? In this video, you’ll hear the answer from someone who experienced it from the inside: 8-time Russian Champion Peter Svidler explains it in detail.

PakarPBN

A Private Blog Network (PBN) is a collection of websites that are controlled by a single individual or organization and used primarily to build backlinks to a “money site” in order to influence its ranking in search engines such as Google. The core idea behind a PBN is based on the importance of backlinks in Google’s ranking algorithm. Since Google views backlinks as signals of authority and trust, some website owners attempt to artificially create these signals through a controlled network of sites.

In a typical PBN setup, the owner acquires expired or aged domains that already have existing authority, backlinks, and history. These domains are rebuilt with new content and hosted separately, often using different IP addresses, hosting providers, themes, and ownership details to make them appear unrelated. Within the content published on these sites, links are strategically placed that point to the main website the owner wants to rank higher. By doing this, the owner attempts to pass link equity (also known as “link juice”) from the PBN sites to the target website.

The purpose of a PBN is to give the impression that the target website is naturally earning links from multiple independent sources. If done effectively, this can temporarily improve keyword rankings, increase organic visibility, and drive more traffic from search results.
