Chessable’s new Repertoire feature makes you the architect of your chess development

Chessable’s identity has always been about active learning… with regular repetition, video sync, and trackable progress. With new repertoire features, our platform continues to grow. Now you can customize your training and pave your own path to Elo acquisition.

Our new repertoire lets you add MoveTrainer variants or even entire chapters to your customized courses.

And from here, kindness becomes overwhelming:

Once a position or chapter is in your course, You can edit it freely … without changing the original direction.

You can:

Add comments and clickable variations of your own analysis and thereby deepen your understanding

Enter alternate movesthat were not included in the original course

Rename variations or exercisesso that it fits your system

Customize key movementsto shorten or expand trainable variants

Add visual aids – for an additional level of active learning

The original course? It remains unchanged and clean. If the author publishes an update, you will still receive it.

In short: the repertoire hits the sweet spot…

…this gives you the freedom to customize your training to suit you, your study habits, and your goals – while maintaining published course quality standards.

This new feature in Chessable opens up many opportunities to advance your chess game. Here are some ideas:

Assemble your first-class opening repertoire

Let’s say you like a variant of a writer’s cutting-edge attack on the Sicilian Open. Super!

But perhaps the same author also recommended a complex response to the rare anti-Sicilians. Since you won’t be playing it often, it’s best to keep things simpler.

This is where the repertoire shows its strength.

You can take the other author’s calmer, position-oriented answer to this minor variant and then combine it with the first author’s very sharp major variant.

The result? A repertoire that fits the amount of time and effort you want to invest.

Dive “deeper” into the areas of chess that matter most to you

Just like the various fields of chess are connected…

An opening leads to a specific structure, and this structure forms the endgame…

Different Chessable courses can also be combined. They can deepen your understanding of the same topic from a different perspective.

Take the Indian Kings Defense for example. This is one of the richest openings in chess.

But you will be closer to it if you combine something…

Chapters 14 through 18 of Chess Structure: A Grandmaster’s Guide to practicing long-range planning in KID…

…Indian King Strike Guide for tactical strike force…

…and Lifetime Repertoires’ Mar del Plata Getting Started Guide: King’s Indian Defense, Part 1, where the attack idea mentioned above appears repeatedly.

Our new Repertoire feature lets you do all this with just a few clicks!

Turn model sections of your opening repertoire into practiceable exercises

The best Chessable writers go beyond strong opening sentences.

They also added game models to show how to play the middle game and end game.

However, most model games are only informative and cannot be trained.

After studying a game, you may find one or two key moments that you want to practice yourself.

Does not matter! Repertory allows you to move plays into your customized repertoire… and then turn them into practiceable exercises.

So your repertoire can now do more than just teach you how to get into good positions – it also shows you what to do once you get to those positions.

How to use the repertoire function

First, open the course for which you want to select variations or exercises.

(Would you like to add a full chapter? In the course main view, start with the chapter list. Just below the course title you will see an “Add to repertoire” button. Click on it, and the next step works similarly to adding individual variants.)

To add variations or specific exercises, go to the chapter that contains them.

Then click “Add to Repertory” just below the Videosync player. A check box appears for each variation or exercise.

Mark the ones you want.

Then click “Add to Repertory” again, this time in blue.

A confirmation window appears. Click “Next.”

Next, select which specific courses you want to add content to. Determine which chapter they are in.

Click “Add variation” – and you’re done!

If you haven’t created your own course yet, you can do so right there. Just click the plus sign, give your new repertoire a name, and select as the target the variation you copy.

We want to hear your ideas

Repertoire is a big step forward in Chessable training.

You are no longer limited to taking courses exactly as published.

Now you can tailor your learning to your goals and how you learn best.

The use case shown here? That’s actually just the beginning.

We’re confident the Chessable community will find smarter and more creative ways to make their repertoire their own.

Give it a try and let us know what you think.

PakarPBN

A Private Blog Network (PBN) is a collection of websites that are controlled by a single individual or organization and used primarily to build backlinks to a “money site” in order to influence its ranking in search engines such as Google. The core idea behind a PBN is based on the importance of backlinks in Google’s ranking algorithm. Since Google views backlinks as signals of authority and trust, some website owners attempt to artificially create these signals through a controlled network of sites.

In a typical PBN setup, the owner acquires expired or aged domains that already have existing authority, backlinks, and history. These domains are rebuilt with new content and hosted separately, often using different IP addresses, hosting providers, themes, and ownership details to make them appear unrelated. Within the content published on these sites, links are strategically placed that point to the main website the owner wants to rank higher. By doing this, the owner attempts to pass link equity (also known as “link juice”) from the PBN sites to the target website.

The purpose of a PBN is to give the impression that the target website is naturally earning links from multiple independent sources. If done effectively, this can temporarily improve keyword rankings, increase organic visibility, and drive more traffic from search results.
