A lot has changed in the world of chess training since Chessable launched in 2016. Many previously new features are now standard expectations from a training platform.
We took a look back at our PRO features and found that some of them made sense to make available to all users for free.
Starting today, the following PRO features are available for free to everyone:
- Chessboard customization
- Alternative engine trains
- Tablebase calculations for endgame
- Greater rover depth
- Unlimited position storage
- Advanced scheduler
- Tracking difficult movements
If you’re not familiar with these features, we’ll explain them in more detail below.
We understand that PRO members have previously paid for this feature. However, we believe that the PRO offer remains very strong – with a 30% discount on any course, anytime, as well as access to over 300 exclusive PRO courses.
We’ll continue to regularly create exclusive PRO content, like Short & Sweet courses and free lessons – and even expand them further: more variants, more videos, more chess.
This is how we understand PRO: access to exclusive content, cheaper prices and special functions like offline mode – not the basic features that every chess platform will offer in 2026.

PRO functions are now available to everyone in detail
Alternative engine trains
Now each member can set how many variants the machine should display – up to 5. Previously, only one variant was possible for basic users.
Tablebase calculations for endgame
All members can now activate the tablebase for up to 7 positions. It shows the winning or drawing advantage for the respective position.
Greater explorer depth Unlimited position storage
Previously, basic users could only save up to 20 positions. Now the number is unlimited for everyone.
Advanced scheduler
All members now have access to an expanded scheduler menu on the right side of their dashboard (under daily goals). This feature shows how many movements to repeat and when, helping you plan your workout better.
Tracking difficult movements
If you roll a move incorrectly several times in the replay, it will be marked on your dashboard. Difficult moves disappear from the list as soon as you play them correctly a few times (reaching level 6 in the spaced repetition system).
PakarPBN
A Private Blog Network (PBN) is a collection of websites that are controlled by a single individual or organization and used primarily to build backlinks to a “money site” in order to influence its ranking in search engines such as Google. The core idea behind a PBN is based on the importance of backlinks in Google’s ranking algorithm. Since Google views backlinks as signals of authority and trust, some website owners attempt to artificially create these signals through a controlled network of sites.
In a typical PBN setup, the owner acquires expired or aged domains that already have existing authority, backlinks, and history. These domains are rebuilt with new content and hosted separately, often using different IP addresses, hosting providers, themes, and ownership details to make them appear unrelated. Within the content published on these sites, links are strategically placed that point to the main website the owner wants to rank higher. By doing this, the owner attempts to pass link equity (also known as “link juice”) from the PBN sites to the target website.
The purpose of a PBN is to give the impression that the target website is naturally earning links from multiple independent sources. If done effectively, this can temporarily improve keyword rankings, increase organic visibility, and drive more traffic from search results.
